What's the addiction to the Blackberry?

Do people want to look cool? Do they want to look important? What's the deal?

I go into our staff lounge and there's an employee texting away on their Crackberry. I give them a hard time about having no life and the reply I get is, "Maybe it's for work and I'm communicating for that purpose".

Really! Are you not on your break, sitting in the break room? Isn't the whole point of a break to get away from your work for 15 minutes? Or am I just dreaming?

I suppose the company owns her ass all all time.

A break is something that people need to keep sharp and focused on the jobs they do. In this day and age getting away from your computer and giving your eyes a rest is very important.

I don't get it.
